[Wow] WoW instanity - multiboxing x 36

I play a Pally (ret) and Shammy (resto). Like Donny said, playing 2 different classes with 2 different roles can be tough and they do run at about 70-80% of their max efficency. With that said, I play my Pally with normal clicks and my shammy is exclusively using keycloned macros and extra mouse buttons. For example, all the shamans heals are on my mouse, scroll wheel left and right and the sensitivity buttons, while his buffs, totems and nukes are on the keyboard, all near the aswd keys so my primative brain can find them. Like Donny said though, you need to keep an eye on both toon's health/mana so one doesnt end up dead. With all that said, questing with the 2 of them is like clubbing baby seals, there is very little they can't do, in fact doing 3 man group elite quests hasnt been issue even thought the elite mob is 2 or 3 lvls above my guys.
If you have the means, I highly recommend picking it up... its so choice. (i'll give you 2 gold if you can tell me what movie that comes from)
Cya!
Matt

the complexity depends on the style of set up you use, but there is
certainly some patience required to get it working. once its up
though, playing multiple toons of the same class is not terribly
harder than playing one, though you obviously need to pay attention to
more things at once. ranged dps are the easiest, and i'd pretty much
recommend against trying multiple melee guys at once. its doable (tho
suboptimal) for pve, but you will get ruined in pvp.
playing multiple classes at once is much harder, especially if they
are different roles. i did get pretty good at running instances and
bgs with my hunter and shammy healer, but i'd say they were both
operating at about 75-80% efficiency. then again, the synergy of
having dps and healing at once usually meant that i'd stay alive a lot
longer, so overall utility was certainly higher than either alone.
tho my druids have this hybridization as well, since i usually keep
only one in boomkin so the others can triple HoT and do heal rotations
when necessary. will is playing multiple holy dps priests, so he has
a similar hybrid set up. and unlike shammy boxers, we have a lot of
instant HoTs that allow us to off heal without losing much dps time.
my plan for 70-80 is to level up all my toons as two groups of four.
my hunter and shammy are now grouped with a lvl 60 lock and warrior
who i'd like to get to 70 by the expansion if possible. tho that
group is way harder to play, due to all the non overlapping abilities,
it has the potential to be able to tackle bosses a lot more
efficiently due to having a dedicated tank and healer. with the
drooz, i often use my boomkin as a 'tank' while questing since he has
+400% armor.
anyhow, the main forum site for the mboxing community is
www.dual-boxing.com. plenty of info up there and on its affiliated
wiki to get someone started. and this girl is something of a
champion for mboxing and makes video tutorials and such (
www.v-boxing.net). its worth checking out her powerlevelling demos
and the ten man raids she and her boyfriend do (each 5boxing), for the
sheer spectacle of the feats if nothing else.
